Dough! "Simpsons" cast gets

a hefty raise

Everyone knows the Simpsons, right... Well then, see how they gone far by this time... They're one of the America's progressive TV shows where everyone likes to watch. I used to watch the Simpsons too when I was a kid, but now I'm opt of watching other shows and movies that's why I'm kinda not updated of their new episodes. So here's what I got for the latest news about the Simpsons. So, anyone who is a fun of this clan, have some time to read this page.  

The standoff between "The Simpsons" voice cast and series producer 20th Century Fox TV is over.

After months of negotiations, the cast of Fox's long-running animated series reached a new four-year deal with the studio during the weekend.

Under the pact, the top actors will be paid nearly $400,000 per episode. While this is lower than the reported $500,000 the cast originally sought, it remains a significant increase from their current paychecks of about $300,000 an episode. (By contrast, Charlie Sheen is the highest-paid sitcom star, reportedly earning $350,000 per episode in 2006.)

Additionally, Dan Castellaneta, who voices Homer Simpson and has penned several "Simpsons" episodes over the years, is being named a consulting producer.

Castellaneta and most of the other key "Simpsons" voice players -- Julie Kavner (Marge), Nancy Cartwright (Bart), Yeardley Smith (Lisa) and Hank Azaria (Moe) -- are slated to begin work on the upcoming 20th season Tuesday.

As of Monday, the status of Harry Shearer, who voices Mr. Burns and Ned Flanders, among other characters, was unclear. Because of a last-minute snag, his deal did not close with the other cast members', and it was not clear if he would show up for work on Tuesday.

As a result of the drawn-out contract negotiations, the upcoming season of "The Simpsons" has been reduced by two episodes to 20. While the deal makes the voice cast available for four more seasons, Fox has yet to order the animated comedy beyond season No. 20.

The "Simpsons" cast and 20th TV have been down this road before. Most recently in 2004, the actors held up production of the 16th season by skipping two table reads during negotiations. They ended up more than doubling their previous salary.

Rihanna is one of the newest faces of CoverGirl cosmetics.  She signed on in December of 2006, stating: "I've loved makeup and dreamed of being a CoverGirl since I was a little girl." She has also recently endorsed Venus razors for women.

Beyonce represents for L'Oreal. The singer signed a five-year contract for $4.7 million in 2004 that requires her to work 10-12 days a year. I, too would be smiling.

Gabrielle Union signed on to endorse Neutrogena products in 2004.  Great skin is the foundation of stunning beauty, and she proves it.

Halle Berry has  been a Revlon spokesperson since 1996.  Other women of color  featured in Relvon campaigns include Lucy Liu and Eva Mendes, but none other has had Halle's staying power.

Kerry Washington has appeared in ads for H.I.P. (High Intensity Pigment) cosmetics for L'Oreal, the first campaign in her contract.  Kerry says of her endorsement: "It's really exciting for me to be one of the faces of L'Oreal and to be working with a company that has historically represented so many different kinds of women with different kinds of skin color."

Queen Latifah has her own make-up line called the 'CoverGirl Queen Collection.' The Web site for her line features tools to help you match colors perfectly with your skin.

Iman, after thirty years in the fashion and beauty biz, now has her own super-successful make-up line: Iman Cosmetics. Launched in 1994, her line features foundation available in 16 shades geared towards women of color.

Veronica Webb was the first black model to receive an exclusive contract from a major cosmetics company.  Her Revlon contract lasted from 1992-95. You can now find her flexing her fashion expertise as a co-host on 'Tim Gunn's Guide To Style.'

Beverly appeared in a ground-breaking ad for Revlon in 1989 featuring all black models. Before the '90s, black models rarely appeared in make-up ads for mainstream lines.

Tyra won a CoverGirl make-up contract in 1997. This is also the year that she covered Sports Illustrated by herself, a first for an African-American woman.

If I’ll be a super heroine, I would probably want to have the best powers among those super heroes. …. (but can’t think right now what superlative power I really like, heheheh..)

Though we all know that all super heroes are only “fictional characters” they somehow give every one good thought of how life should go. We can usually see them on movies, television, animation and comic books with their fantastic costumes. But then, a super hero can only be deemed as super hero when he has that superhuman powers, but sometimes they are also known as costumed crimefighters. Oftentimes costumed crimefighters are those super heroes without such powers but has the same common traits of other super heroes.

When I was a kid I used to love supergirl. As I remember, supergirl is one of the names of several fictional characters who appear in comic books depicted as female counterparts to super hero, Superman. Supergirl’s character is first incarnated when it appeared in a story that was been published in Superman #123. I used to watch the movie “Supergirl” over and over again and love to imagine what If I was her, hahaha! Now that’s too impossible of course. I really love that sexy body with those fantastic dress and powers, oh well! of course everyone’s going to love you and no one’s going to hate you.
